DARK CHOCOLATE SLICE
INGREDIENTS:
-
1 cup rolled oats
-
2 cups mixed nuts (I used the raw power mix from Coles)
-
1 cup shredded coconut
-
1/2 cup LSA
-
1/2 cup dates (chopped)
-
1/2 cup honey
-
200g good quality dark chocolate (I used 70% old gold)

METHOD:
-
Pre heat the oven to 200 degrees (Fan Forced).
-
Place all of the ingredients (besides the honey & chocolate) on a tray with baking paper and bake for 15 minutes. Put the honey into a oven safe dish and put in the oven for the last 5 minutes.
-
Put the baked ingredients and the honey into a mixing bowl and mix well.
-
Grease a round or square dish (approx 12"). Press the mix from above into the dish. Flatten down using a wet spoon. Put the mix into the fridge for 30 minutes.
-
Use a small pot of water on the stove, and a stainless steel baking dish on top of the pot, to melt the dark chocolate. You will need to break the block into squares and stir continuously until it's melted. Pour over the refrigerated mix and spread evenly using a wet spoon.
-
Place back in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.
